Yesterday thousands of people were having great time in Chrobry Embankment in Szczecin. A concert of The Voice of Poland stars took place within the finals of The Tall Ships Races. On the main stage we could hear Rafał Brzozowski, Sarsa, Damian Ukeje as well as Natalie Nykiel and Afromental.

What can we expect today? Visiting sailing ships and the evening concert of Kayah are waiting for us during another day of the finals of The Tall Ships Races. Moreover there will be concerts of famous shanty bands such as Klang, Tonam i Synowie, Dominika Żukowska i Andrzej Korycki duo, who are well-known to maritime music lovers. They are the artists of the highest order which, in fact, they confirmed in the concert studio of Radio Szczecin by taking part within the once-organized Sail Szczecin event. Where can you see them now? This is both the scene on the the Łasztownia Island and the Wieleckie Waterfront as well as onboard of vessels.

Apart from musical attraction such as the mentioned concert of Kayah and C-BooL on the main in Chrobry Embankment, there are, of course, the sailing ships - most of them will be traditionally open to the public from at 10am, the sooner we arrive, the sooner we get on board, however, the tourists say that even if the queue before the trap seems exceptionally extended, you do not stand too long. And if you get tired, you can always visit our relaxation area on the Łasztownia Island close to the Radio Szczecin studio.

The TSR 2017 is, of course, all about ships, however, visitors who are interested in trains have an opportunity to take part in a unique handcar attraction. This unusual 100 meters long railroad race is waiting for all the participants despite their age in Jana z Kolna Street on the event area. Experienced staff explains how handcars work and how to properly and safely operate them. Handcars are available to all visitors to the Tall Ships Races today from 10 am to 4 pm.

When in Szczecin don’t forget to visit the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin. The edifice is a host of many musical events, but is also famous for its magnificent structure appreciated in many architectural competitions, for example, the prestigious Mies van der Rohe Award.

On the occasion of the finals of The Tall Ships Races 2017, additional dates for free-of-charge tours of the Philharmonic have been prepared for the visitors. Tour participants will venture through the world famous golden Symphony Hall. Each tour lasts for about 30 minutes and begins in the lobby, up to the Chamber Hall, Level 4 Gallery and the Symphony Hall.

During the final of The Tall Ships Races, the Philharmonic can be visited free of charge on Monday 7th August and Tuesday 8th August at 11 am and 3 pm.

Haben Sie Lust Szczecin auch jenseits des Tall-Ships-Races-Gelände kennenzulernen? Dann haben wir für Sie heute morgen ein interessantes Angebot. Besuchen Sie doch das neue Symbol der Stadt, die Mieczysław-Karłowicz-Philharmonie! Das mit dem Mies-van-der-Rohe-Preis ausgezeichnete Gebäude ist die neue Stettiner Stilikone und wird von Architekturliebhabern aus der ganzen Welt besucht. Die neue Philharmonie wurde vom Büro Barozzi/Veiga aus Barcelona entworfen und 2014 eröffnet. Nicht allen Stettinern hat das strahlend weiße Gebäude, das einige an Eisberge erinnert, von Anfang an gefallen. Aber mittlerweile ist die Philharmonie zu dem Markenzeichen der Stadt geworden. Sie können den imposanten Eingangsbereich und den goldenen Konzertsaal heute und morgen um 11 Uhr und um 15 Uhr besuchen. Führung und Eintritt sind frei!
Und wer noch etwas über die Nachkriegsgeschichte von Szczecin wissen will, findet gleich neben der Philharmonie das „Dialogzentrum Umbrüche". Die multimediale Ausstellung, auch in deutscher Sprache, ist während des Tall-Ships-Races-Finale zwischen 10 und 20 Uhr geöffnet.

Ein interessantes Programm bietet aber auch heute wieder das Regattafinale. Am Abend steht ab 20 Uhr der polnische Rock- und Popstar Kayah und die Gruppe C-BooL auf der Hauptbühne unterhalb der Hakenterrasse. Und wie schon in den letzten Tagen treten auch heute wieder den ganzen Tag über verschiedene Shanty-Ensembles rund um die Insel Lasztownia, am Wielecki-Kai und auf einigen Segelschiffen auf, die sie auch heute wieder nach Absprache den ganzen Tag besuchen können. Sollten Sie etwas Entspannung brauchen, können Sie zum Beispiel das Chill-out-Gelände besuchen. Auf dem Gdydia-Boulevard in der Nähe der Langen Brücke, auf Polnisch Most Długi, stehen vier schwarze Container, die das grüne Chill-out-Gelände abgrenzen. Auch heute legen DJ-s sphärische und andere coole Musik auf. Außerdem können Sie sich bei Boule und Badminton in Schuss halten. Und für diejenigen, die die Kräfte schon ein wenig verlassen haben, stehen Liegestühle für ein entspanntes Sonnenbad zur Verfügung.
