They have sailed 700 km via the Oder River and Gliwice Canal and now they are in Szczecin. The "Wrzaskun" boat crew moored in the marina on Grodzka Island. On board, apart from sailors of the Silesian Yacht Club, there are also scouts and blind persons, the charges of the "To See the Sea" Foundation.

The crew set off on a cruise from Gliwice on Thursday last week. A trip to Szczecin took them 6 days. Today, the crew will meet the world famous blind tenor Andrea Bocelli, who will perform on the stage at Chrobry Embankment at 8pm.

Drivers can leave their vehicles on "Park and Ride” car parks in Szczecin specially designed for the regatta. You can leave there your car for free and get to the city enter by public transport.

There are four parking lots: at Selgros in Zdroje, International Szczecin Fairs in Struga Street, Macro in Południowa Street and the University of Szczecin in Cukrowa Street. There is also a parking lot in Hangarowa Street in Dąbie. It's already partly filled, also by tourists. In total, five car parks have been prepared with more than 1000 places. To change to a tram or bus you will need to buy a public transport ticket.

Now a very important piece of news! The ban on flying drones over the Chrobry Embankment has come into force today. The area and the vicinity of the finals of the Tall Ships’ Races is closed by the Polish Air Navigation Agency on the request of Szczecin officials. They explain that the the ban is necessary due to security considerations - such as the risk of a drone falling into a crowd of people.

Drones, which - despite the ban - will fly over the Chrobry Embankment will be brought down by police officers, who will use the system "Hawk". This is a radar with an antenna resembling a rifle. By interfering with the GPS signal, it activates the automatic landing system in drones.

The ban of flying drones over the Chrobry Embankment and its vicinity is valid not only for the finals of the regatta, but also for the fireworks festival that will take place next weekend. For breaking the law, one can get a fine or even spend a year in prison.

During the finals of the Tall Ships Races, a sports zone "Active Szczecin" has been created. It is located in the Municipal Summer Zone on Grodzka Island. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The zone is to be a place to have fun outdoors together. The organizers invite whole families, crew members, as well as tourists coming to Szczecin. Unusual sports attractions have been prepared, such as 30 meter water track for skimboarding, a mat for safe sumo wrestling or instruments for balance exercises. Participants will also be able to play Crossminton, a racket game that combines elements of badminton, squash and tennis. All the attractions of the sports zone are free of charge.

Now it’s time for the weather forecast. We can expect a warm day today with temperatures reaching 23 degrees celsius, it will be partly cloudy with no rain but with moderate wind.

Die schönsten Segelschiffe haben im Stettiner Hafen rund um die Hakenterrasse und der Lastadie bereits festgemacht. Heute Abend schließlich wird das Finale des Tall Ships Races offiziell eröffnet. Bis dahin warten viele Attraktionen auf die Besucher aus dem In- und Ausland. Wer zum Beisiel sportlich den Tag beginnen will, sollte das Sportareal „Aktives Szczecin" auf der Grodzka-Insel, auf Deutsch Schlächterinsel, besuchen. Die Organisatoren bieten heute und morgen zwischen 10 Uhr und 18 Uhr auf dem Gelände auch etwas ungewöhnlichere Sportarten an. Zum Beispiel steht eine Matte zum Sumo-Kampf und eine 30 Meter lange Wasserbahn zur Verfügung. Angeboten wird auch die Sportart „Crossminton", eine Mischung aus Tennis, Badminton und Squash. Alle Aktivitäten im Areal auf der Schlächterwiese stehen den Sportinteressierten kostenlos zur Verfügung.

Wer mit Kindern zum Regattafinale angereist ist, sollte das Gelände rund um den Adam-Mickiewicz-Platz aufsuchen, der direkt hinter der Hakenterrasse liegt. Bereits vor der offiziellen Eröffnung haben die Stettiner Kinder den Bereich für sich erobert. Besonders beliebt ist der riesige Sandkasten, die ungewöhnlichen Holzkonstruktionen und die kosmischen Zelte, die in den letzten Wochen dort aufgebaut wurden. Neben dem Spielplatz wartet aber auch ein abwechslungsreiches Programm auf die jüngsten Finalbesucher mit ihren Eltern. Dabei können sie an Workshops über Afrika und Asien teilnehmen, attraktive Preise gewinnen und kurze Theatervorstellungen besuchen. Außerdem werden auf dem Kinderareal „Abenteuerpässe" zum Ausmalen, Einkleben und Abstempeln verteilt. Das Programm auf dem Kinderareal rund um den Adam-Mickiewicz-Platz findet am Wochenende zwischen 12 und 20 Uhr und am Montag zwischen 16 und 20 Uhr statt.

Auch musikalisch hat das Finale des Tall Ships Races einiges zu bieten. Höhepunkt ist das Konzert des italienischen Star-Tenors Andrea Bocelli heute Abend um 20 Uhr auf der Hauptbühne am Ufer unterhalb der Hakenterrasse.
Aber auch die Liebhaber maritimer Musik kommen noch bis Montag auf ihre Kosten. Heute ab 15 Uhr und nach dem Auftritt von Andrea Bocelli treten verschiedene Shanty-Ensembles in der sogenannten Segler-Allee auf. Ebenfalls ab 15 Uhr haben am Sonntag Gruppen wie die „Shantażyści" oder „Hard Times" auf der schwimmenden Bühne und auf dem polnischen Schulungsschiff „Frederic Chopin" ihren Auftritt.

Während des Regattafinales gilt nicht nur ein Verbot für Feuerwerke in Szczecin. Gleiches gilt für die Nutzung von Drohnen ab heute für das Gelände rund um die Hakenterrasse. Einzig die Polizei wird in den nächsten Tagen die fliegenden Kameras im Stettiner Hafen einsetzen. Das Verbot gilt nicht nur für die Zeit während des Tall Ships Races-Finale, sondern auch am nächsten Wochenende, wenn das größte polnische Feuerwerksfestival „Pyromagic" stattfindet. Wer sich nicht an die Vorschriften hält, muss nicht nur mit einer hohen Geld-, sondern sogar mit einer Haftstrafe von bis zu einem Jahr rechnen.
